Mr. Breeze, unlike Mike's "million dollar CB", this was my $112 EBay purchase back in May. I'd bought the bike planning to use the engine in a custom framed chopper I want to build some day, but when I started tearing it down, I decided she had to become a period looking hotrod of the 70's. I've tried hard not to use anything that looks like our modern period, but also wanted to make it run and last like today's muscle bikes. Terry's oil cooler and synthetic oil should help with keeping things going a long time while the 836cc big-bore, porting, and Megacycle cam keep motivation up near the "Yahoo!" level. The old syle 4/1 Kerker just sings the 1970's rock-n-roll beautifully. I've really enjoyed this bike and it's now one of my all-time favorites. What took me so long to discover the CB750 I'll never know - 1 very well engineered piece of motorcycling's history. "Thank you Mr. Honda".

Heffay and Jim, I really did appreciate the fact that you guys wanted, what you thought was, my bike in the BOTM nominations. I sure couldn't take credit for what I didn't do. I hope to have my 77' CB550K ready by spring or early summer but, time will tell if it would be BOTM material or not. In my book, it'd have to be pretty special and I don't know if it will rank in there with some of the others or not. I hope it does.

I was really surprised by this and acted, as soon as I saw it, to contact Heffay and Aptech (Jim) to let them know the facts. Sorry guys :-[

I give Mike a 3rd....98 horsepower, great looking bike, 30 years of ownership, and a lot of memories behind them both. The little blue 400 SuperSport is very nice and I haven't seen a lot of post about the smaller Fours. Either would make a great bike to win the most votes.
