Project Cafe' Racer

The start of something wicked mean & nasty. Just kidding , im looking to Cafe' this 'ol girl. Some advice needed about blacking out the chrome bits? Is it common practice to sand blast these bits before painting, such as the wheels , the valve cover etc.

Sand blasting chrome is the best way to get paint to stick.  Scuffing it with sandpaper just doesn't give it enough tooth.  Sanding aluminum parts for paint is fine, but chrome is such a hard surface it's better off blasted.  I've done it that way many times and it works beautifully.  Good luck on your project.

LOVE the fishtail exhaust LOL. Someone really tried to pimp that poor bike out.

Also love the lift.. Wish I had something like that.

The fishtails are coming off if anyone is interested, im more into the 4  into 1 look.

The fishtails are coming off if anyone is interested, im more into the 4  into 1 look.

Yeah I'd like to have a 4-1 but they are $$$ so I may just build one.
