Shamless plea for assistance: 2016 "Scrapper 24"
« on: December 07, 2015, 08:28:33 AM »
Hey guys - the PseudoMoto "Scrapper 24" is back again for 2016, and our team is trying to raise the funds to compete again. We'd really appreciate any help you can offer:
https://www.gofundme.com/z6c8d6du

This will be our third year to compete in this event. Basically, teams find and repair sub-150cc bikes for less than $500, ride them for 24 hours straight, and whoever rides the most miles wins! The first year, our bike died just before the race started. Read about the saga here:
http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php/topic,132256.0.html

And then last year we actually won! And on a 1964 Honda C200 no less!

Looks like my photos are missing from those threads - I'll have to fix that. Meanwhile, I'll be documenting the entire thing in another thread here. The search is already on to find this year's entry!

Damn Tug, that's plain and simple self abuse!
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Nah! It's super hard and can be stressful at times, but it's really fun too and you get to learn a lot.

A 125 with a 750 piston is 144cc I believe of course it needs a sleeve too. FYI  A new china made 125cc cyl and piston are available for $48 on Ebay too.

Does the event have a home page?

Nope - we've pretty much kept the event "in-house" and have a private facebook page for it. Looks like there will be 10 teams this year!
