« on: November 05, 2006, 05:27:27 PM »
hello board I'm from Augusta, Arkansas, just purcheased a honda 1976 cb 750 four today after trying to find one for a yr, I got it right here in town, lol, it has been set up in the garage since 1985 but it was started last summer, the tank is dry and has some leaks and rust, so i'm sure the carbs need rebuild, where is the best place to get a tank and carb kits

Welcome aboard. Don't forget some pics. As for parts, check the FAQ area, lots of sources. As for the tank, eBay may be your best bet.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

do it at your own risk. members here have had bad luck with long term back order. try www.cyclexchange.net for aftermarket stuff. great guys too. also look at z1 enterprises. www.z1enterprises.com

Hey, Glad to have you. I'm in western central Arkansas, almost in Oklahoma and just south of           Fort Smith. Greenwood, actually. I was born and raised around North Little Rock, Jacksonville and
then lived in Little Rock. Looks like you've got a good piece of starting material there. LOL

                                                          Later on, Bill

There are way better places. If you see something you like, post up and people will tell you if they are straight up or #$%*.Good luck with your project....looks like a beaut!!!!!

I got the 76 7560 running today, hooked a bottle up to it wth fuel and after about a minute of turning over she fired up and run, I let it run  16oz gas and sea foam mix through it, the out side two pipes got hot but the inner two just got warm, What could that be, also the carb drains drained fule out down by the back tire, I'm thinking it may have been the inner two carbs, what does that mean??

floats are more than likely stuck. Here is your to do list. Take carbs off and clean thoroughly. lots of detailed info on here as to what to pay special attn. to. after that you will need to set your points and timing and valves. outta run great after that.

OK, Shandon (76 750) I broke my ass away from HondaChopper.com to swing by here and check on ya.  Glad to hear ya got it running.  Again, you are more than welcome to come by my house this weekend and we can tinker with it...and maybe have a beer. lol
We can get your carbs cleaned up and set the valves and stuff that these guys mentioned.  Should make a big difference for ya.
Hell, I have lurked around this board for awhile and didn't really know about the other Arkansas guys.  Then again, I am a hondachopper.com guy and that may be a form of cannibalism on this board!  ;D
Hopefully, I'll have my 78 750 cafe up and rollin by EARLY spring if not sooner.  Really all I need is my seat/tail section.  Have not decided where to purchase that from yet.  Oh yeah, I got a good deal on my clubmans from a guy on e-bay.  I think I paid less than $30 shipped and they were new. Here is another link to some less expensive bars: http://store.azmusa.com/knclubhanbla.html
Oh well, I have wrote more on this post than I ever have on this board, so I guess I'll check back later.  Remember, I'm only 20-30 miles away, so whenever you are ready to mess with the bike you are welcome to bring it by.

ps...I may have found you a tank already.
