Sprocket Guard

Since we now have very strong drive chains, probably 3x the tensile strength we had in the 1970's, do you still need the case protector style sprocket cover? If so, which between the '69 and '76 style is recommended? Is there any need for that frisbee on the rear sprocket either?

The "Frisbee" on the rear wheel is to hold your chain when dropping and replacing the rear wheel.
I should add, it's not necessary.

Thanks.  My K0 didn'tcome with one,nor did it have the "case saver" inside the primary cover.
