Nice to hear some of us got out there. Terry...110...wow. That could tend to be unbearable even on a bike. Or are you used to riding in that heat?
G'Day John, no mate, 110 is too hot for riding, I've done it of course, but it's not nice. When I had my first "K" series BMW, a K100RT in 1990, I rode it to an army course I was doing on a 100 deg F (+) day, and sitting at the lights the thermo fan came on, blasting hot air into my face, and I almost fainted. It gets so hot the tarmac actually melts, and riding on that is probably like riding in the snow, not fun.
I'm not going to ride in either extreme of temps any more, I've got aircon (and a heater) in my car, and I'll just keep the bikes for nice days. Cheers, Terry.
