Queensland / Northern NSW Contacts
« on: May 29, 2005, 12:52:51 AM »
Hi all,
Just a quick note
I'm interested in contacting CB750 SOHC owners in my area.
I'm in Southern Queensland - about 2hrs from Brisbane.

Also after a project bike - k2 preferably - i currently ride a 750 Shadow but i'm looking for an SOHC 750 to rebuild.
Running or not - or parts etc.

Any contact would be appreciated - i am joining HMCCQ too

Thanks
Brookesy

Hi Brookesy
We don't quite fit your criteria but thought we would make contact anyway.
Hubby has an '82 CB 750 F (2?) DOHC
My eldest son, living in Toowomba has a '77 CB 750 K7
I have just bought a CB 350 Four (see my posting in the picture gallery).
We would be interested in making contact.
Good luck with your search.
Jane

Hi Jane,
Where are you situated?

I'm a member of the SOHC Four club in Brisbane - great club
They have a run coming up in November staying overnight in Warwick
You don't have to be on an SOHC to come along.
I will be on my Shadow
It would be worth coming along if you can make it.

Also, the Gatton Swap meet is in 2 weeks
A good place to track down some parts
If you're going we could catch up and say g'day

Hi Brookesy
We live in Wynnum (Brisbane bayside). We met the SOHC guys at the Laverda Concourse and are intending joining, along with the local Ulysses. The swap meet sounds interesting - more details please. We were planning to go on the Pink Ribbon ride on the 30th so this may clash - maybe a change of plan is indicated.

I'm in Warwick, but i know the Southside of Bris-Vegas pretty well
I'm a Birkdale boy.

We went to the Story Bridge Show too - a great day.

The Gatton Swap is on Friday 28th / Saturday 29th. at the Showgrounds in Gatton
No trading on the Friday - but a good day to find your way around - apparently
I haven't been before - but everyone tells me it's great.
Some of the guys from the SOHC club will be camping there overnight (i think)

If you want contact details of the club you can PM me - but it sounds like you have them already.
or...
If you want to come along on the ride in November i can give you John's details and take it form there

Hi Brooksey, are you still around? I live at Wellington Point. I am in the middle of building a K2 750 at the moment. Its a tricky build but should be on the road in the next 6 months.

Cheers .....Mick

G'day,
I'm back - different username since the email address has been deleted long ago...
I haven't done anything with the CB750's for years then recently a local guy started on a CB750 chopper and needed some parts. I've been giving him a bit of help and got all inspired to start again

Wellington Point... i haven't been there in years. I left the area a long time ago but went to school / high school in the redlands

Good luck with your build

ALso,
do you know about the 40th anniversay gathering at the bike museum next month?

Mick,
We should catch up while we're there - let me know

Strange Brew - i've heard about them - pretty good i hear...

I'll be bringing along the mate who's building the chopper - he's still chasing some parts so we're hoping there will be some good stuff around

Kghost,
Last month...
Well i was in Fiji :) for half of it
And i didn't have time for my bikes for the other half, i've been busy with my head up my @rse working and playing guitar (or trying to anyway:)   ((Funny how it took till i was 45 to realise what i want to do when i grow up!!))

It sounds like you were after some contacts?
