Correct Battery Cables for a '76 K6
« on: January 13, 2016, 05:26:05 PM »
Hey folks, Been searching different sites to locate the correct positive and negative battery cables for my 1976 CB750K6. I'm seeing cables for most years except the 1976.  For instance, I found one on vintagecb750 (Part #: 23-2701) that is very similar to mine though it has 2 small pigtail wires coming from the starter solenoid connector instead of one. The note on the site says it is for '69 - '75 year models. If the length is correct I could just ignore the extra pigtail?

I'd appreciate any advice on a source for the right ones or if there are compatible cables from other year models that would work.

I prefer to just get welding cable and make my own.  Go to ace and pick up some lugs of the right size and fill it with soder and push the wire in then heat shrink it.  It will be as strong as any professionally made cable and will always be the right length.  As for the extera pig tail you can just clip it off and heat shrink it
