^^awesome tribute

No doubt!

Seems like everybody has a memory of an Eagles song.  One of mine:

Was at a wedding, long before I was married.  Was hittin on this sweet young girl, Eileen, slow dancing to "Take it to the Limit". I wanted her so bad!

"All alone at the end of the evening
And the bright lights have faded to blue
I was thinking 'bout a woman
Who might have loved me, and I never knew

Take it to the limit
Take it to the limit
Take it to the limit
One more time"

I would have thought "Come on Eileen" would have been more appropriate.

Yes, but that wasnt what the band was playing.

"Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means
At this moment, you mean everything
With you in that dress, my thoughts I confess
"Verge on dirty",
Ah come on Eileen
Come on Eileen"

I would have given the band a finski to play it.  :)

The first "album" that I ever owned, purchased with my own money, was Hotel California. (I had some 8 tracks of Desperado, On The Border and Greatest Hits). I nearly wore out the grooves playing it all the time.... It ended up in the rear window of my girlfriend's car, needless to say, it got a little difficult to play. Went out and bought the cassette the next day.  ;)

Prior to that, my favorite Eagles tune had to be Tequila Sunrise or Already Gone...

Great song...

"Well, I heard some people talkin' just the other day
And they said you were gonna put me on a shelf
But let me tell you I got some news for you
And you'll soon find out it's true
And then you'll have to eat your lunch all by yourself
'Cause I'm already gone"

Been playing the Eagles greatest hits since I heard the news.  An amazing band.
RIP Glenn

Happen to have the Desperado CD?
I don't, I should probably get it

Everyone thinks Chuck Norris is bad, but Chuck Norris has not meet Lucky either.  Lucky will round house kick Chuck back to 1969 and pop a wheel with the 1st sandcast while shotgunning a PBR!

toasted a couple Lp's leaving them out in the hot sun.  I own quite a bit of vintage stereo equipment,  just may have to find a copy of Desperado as Tequila Sunrise was also one of my favorite tunes from the LP...Larry

I would have thought "Come on Eileen" would have been more appropriate.

I think that the "Hee Bee Gee Bees" version, "Get 'em off Irene", might be more appropriate to Steve's mood at the time.......... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
