Hey guys, I am looking for your help. I moved the engine from one garage to another while I was taking it apart and lost the little oil control orifice. I found a place where I can buy them but there are 2 different part numbers, one PN is $5 and one is about $23. can you guys help me out in what PN I would need for a K5.

Honda 12238-300-010 ORIFICE, OIL CONTROL

or

Honda 12238-300-300 ORIFICE, OIL CONTROL

this is the website, its detail #6

According to your source, the 010 is no longer available. Frankly, I didn't think any were available. Many forum members have threatened to make some for sale, but I haven't seen them.

I made some, one as a test, pair for forum member who never paid me for them, haha.  Wondering if he used them or not.

Anyway, what I made were oil jets according to Hondaman drawing, my offer is still standing:

I do it more to help brother out than for the money, making something this small is pain in the ass.

Let me know or reach to Dhoulton:

Great offers! I didn't know there was product out there.

Prokop or dhoulton, to the OPs question are you aware of the differences between the 010 part and the 300 part?

Am I correct in that neither part is available from Honda?

70CB750 I hear you, I'd love to have you make me some and I'll actually pay you. I know the little things are tough, thats why I make helicopter parts haha is the metering hole size drill bit a test to make sure they are serious about it or are there different sizes? I am missing both so I can't say what my size is but I know the drill bit is a #65

MCRider, I found some OEM's on ebay about a month ago, they packaging looked ratty and he was asking $57 for a pair

Yes like virtually everything I would expect you wait long enough you'll find it on eBay. Had I needed them, I'd pay $57 for them.

Sounds like 70CB actually has some.

I was wondering if a dealer could still get them from Honda? Or was your source not up to date?

You are HIGHLY unlikely to find any new oil orifices at ANY Honda dealer. You might ask your local Honda dealer to run their dealer parts locator to verify this. You'll notice that your link has all the parts 'available' and that's just not the case.

Good luck
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Yes, I use a drill bit to make sure the hole is what it is supposed to be, afaik, there is no other way to measure the hole.  I use #65 for the metering hole,  #66 for the strainers and #30 for the top .119-.121 hole.  If you want different metering hole let me know - but I would have to get bits for the new size.

From what I remember HM said the #65 was the smallest, means the jet can be always opened up to be bigger.

It will take me a week or so to get them done.

That's what I thought. Just left over NOS.

If you drill down on the OP's source for the 010, you'll find a legend saying the "Part is no longer available", but no such legend on the 300, which I think is a mistake, unless they've got some NOS.

The time frame is good for me, let me do some research on the hole size to find exactly what I want, and the last thing I want is to not get enough oil up in the heads and on the flip side too much oil.

I looked into just getting a scrap head and scavenging it, but for  it to come with guaranteed parts I need I am not in the monetary position to take that chance.

I saw that the one was out of stock, and that is what sparked my original question as far as part numbers go
