Yes, that's why we're here, to learn and share. I sure hope we disagree some,  it'd be all vanilla otherwise. Anyway, I'll be testing that clutch at Commerce in March. Kenny's back working on the dragbike again. Never lift til the line, wall or too much sky!  Carry on. Bill  ;D

To be even clearer, it was a play on words, Man cup / Man up, pretty simple really.... ;D ;)

It was never my intention to question you whatsoever. If I made a choice of words that was offensive to you I truly apologize. That was NOT my intent. I did not consult with the dictionary prior to posting that and would never use those terms in relation to you. My intent was to show my anticipation of you hopefully getting up on that bike and kicking ass in the quarter mile. Nothing more. I have watched with admiration while you successfully campaigned the road racer. I watched your video with the drag bike with much anticipation. I cruise though your site to see the latest news. I see what you do personally with the 750's and what you do for our 750 sport and support it all. I wish you nothing but continued success. There was NO intended malice on my part. For that I am sorry for the misunderstanding.

Well ain't we all like damn bulls in the pasture!  Jerry, I know your intent was good and I know Kenny's a little frustrated at the race bike current state!  So, let's put this behind us and let's GO RACING!!!! Bill

Haha never a dull moment.

Below is a comment I posted back on Oct 24 2014 in response when the engine troubles started on the CycleX thread.

Oct 24 2014
"I hate to hear this after all the hard work, hopefully they will get it together.

If Not Kenny should go through his parts and assemble an engine using one of his 1000cc kits and use parts like he would sell to customers, put it into this chassis to showcase his kits and parts. Hint Hint.."

I wish the guys at Cyclex the best, but I am a little let down considering their resources not have some ET's by now. Maybe this latest talk will light a fire under his you know what. Lol

The man has a business to run here.  That comes first. I  I doubt Kenny is counting on this all out drag bike to make or break his business or reputation.  I see it as a difficult (and very time consuming and expensive) personal challenge.

When it runs, it runs....

A thought:  Have Mc  Intosh build you a rolling chassis complete for a SOHC motor, order all those highest dollar parts that CYCLE X has to offer for that SOHC KILLER  motor= a complete motor w/all their high dollar carbs ,pipes, starter or start cart and all electronics, lock up, shifter, ready to race that day. You put it all together and take to the track, all these folks [ me, any time or where and I WILL ] come to watch YOU make that first pass on a full out CYCLE X drag bike. With success KENNY would no doubt make you a factory racer...... Some times the road is long and rough on the trip to your dream !!!! KEEP the dream Kenny.

My dragbike goals are FAR more conservative, and it's hard enough for me to get the project on its feet, and I am getting a SIGNIFICANT amount of highly qualified "outside assistance" (to be named at the appropriate time), you know who you are, and thank you ;)

The challenge of the development of an all out effort is many times harder since so many of the parts are custom made, sometimes multiple times each part during the development process, it's painful to think how many man hours went it so far.  I make custom parts in a different "sport", so I get it.

I'm just glad the project exists.  Makes me feel halfway normal by comparison. ???

That bike, the Triple, the Sorcerer, all fantastic over the top rolling sohc4 porn.  I look forward to seeing each of them run.

Haha Sorry but I have to laugh at this point. Lol

Not singling anyone out. but I hear this a lot about how people are so busy. I hear it all the time. No one is busier than me, yes I said it.. Lol

I run a couple small businesses. I single handily own, operate, manage, repair 10 rental properties (this includes having to change diapers of nearly 20 grown adults on a daily basis). I have numerous hobbies, play in a classic rock band. Wife and daughter and 94 year old father that lives on his own with my sole help. Some how I manage to get everything done I need to do (or want to do). If I wanted to build a completely new dragbike from scratch today, I could be racing in a month if needed providing parts are available. I've done it, its been documented on here.... Hehe.

POPS I don't know if you were addressing me, But anyone that knows me will tell you that plan would not work for me, as I do EVERYTHING myself. My comment in relation to the CycleX bike/build was simply that I feel CycleX after having trouble with the primary engine, lost out on a good chance to show their skill and ability.

To clip Mark Twain, "The reports of the Cycle-X drag bike's death are greatly exaggerated."   ???

I would bet money, at least a frugal amount, that Kenny will have that bike at a ManCup event sometime this season.  ;)  ;D  8)

I envy your postion, especially having the abilities and the machining hardware to do it all, that's rare, usually most of us have to depend on others for boring, valve jobs etc. Even Larry McBride's head done at V&H! Please bring one or two of your bikes to a Mancup event. Bring the double for show!
We'd love to see your handiwork first hand, Bill

Got 7 HONDAMATIC'S but got room for one more HONDA, sold all my KZ 1976-82 K & J engines and all the parts except the SG bike KZ hard to part with that 1000 KZ... pulling slicks off and making it a 72" Shinko ST/ET for the young Texan TREY to ride at A man cup = my treat.

FRANK 10'S : Wait until he lets go of that clutch in first gear and the front wheel comes up and he's foot shifting into 2nd under full open throttle on electric kill = got to get your feet back on the pegs quick as 9800-10,000 rpms comes on shift light quick, but I had bars and slick [ gone ] and him being a COWBOY don't need no sissy bars he's from TEXAS. Will run the 29's for the de-tune as the 33's w/31mm inserts are the carbs Bill bought = I still have a new set of 33's after he schools the ride.
