As a painter myself, you're getting jerked around..horribly.  Your paint job is a seriously easy project.  Any painter worth his salt should've been able to do it in a couple of weeks even at a lazy pace.

No argument here, completely agree.

On a positive note I recieved a voicemail saying paint work is done. Of course this depends on my examination.

So, 12 days short of four months. Ridiculous actually but I did say no hurry. Guess there wasn't on his end. Probably won't get to my end until next month, to much going on here, to much to do but good Lord it's done.

I love the color, already saw a side cover. Inspection as far as flaws, decals etc. It's gonna pop, that's for sure.

OK, OK, fine.

Fender stayed at the shop. Small flaw by the mounts otherwise done. Fuel tank is gorgeous.

Good news day.

Picked up the fender, all paint done. Knocked $150 off the bill.

Also found a AC Cobra kit car with a 427 Rousch motor covered in the corner of the body shop. Sweet!

Nice grill tt  I imagine you'll be out there in the Winter in AZ. using that and having great cookouts;does it stay warm even in the Winter there ?

Thanks! Going to fire that baby up tonight.  It was hard finding that model in NG but Ace had them online with $100 off. Took a couple of hours assembly.

Winters are wonderful but New Year's Eve a few years ago it snowed.  Basicly Winters are nice. You pay for it in the Summer. I saw a low of 69 this coming week.

I'm ready, we were cheated last year with a warm October. Halloween was 100 degrees.

A little "me" time this morning. Rest of week is booked with medical appointments so I did a little mockup on Suzzie.

Fuel tank.







Front fender is mounted, fuel tank in a safe place until I can install the nessasary parts. Rear cowl resting on seat latch. I have to remove the assembly in order to mount the seat cowl.

Color is PR4,  flame red, Dodge color. A lot brighter in the  sunlight. Steve-o said paint it red so I  did.

That paint looks very glossy    and makes that Suzuki 'pop'.

He used three coats of clear. I haven't put a wax on it, it's just the way I recieved it. The underside of fender and tank is sweet also.

Can anyone point me or at best offer something I could use on the rear cowl?

It's number 3 in the diagram. A rubber trim piece that goes between the cowl and taillight. Door edge moulding is to big and not flexible for the bends. Needs to be a soft rubber.

Also, just across the top of the tail light would work. Not sure if Lowes or Home Depot would carry something in rubber trim. I could use a clear adhesive bumper for now.

Have you tried looking at other models w/ the same style bodywork? That bodywork on yours looks exactly the same as my previous 82 & 83' GS1100E models and the part may be avail. from one of them.

Found some trim Steve. I needed much smaller but like you said, plenty of different sizes. Thank you!
