Hi All - I recently took the Honda plunge and purchased a 1975 400F Super Sport. It is officially my first motorcycle and I love it.
I'm 29 year old Mechanical Engineer by day and a dad/9 month old wrangler by all other hours. We've got a pretty good system worked out where he bounces next to me in the garage and provides feedback. I would have never guess the Rectifier and Regulator needed to be replaced until he mentioned it.
I've been interested in motorcycles since high school but didn't pull the trigger until after a colorful history with what started as a 49cc scooter which may or may not include a 820 mile journey from Washington DC to Chicago IL on said scooter only to throw a valve and cook the engine 2 miles from my final destination. Did I mention that I had to get back in time for my wife's first ultrasound? I don't know why she puts up with me
After rebuilding and increasing the displacement on the scooter to 100cc I found myself yearning for a new project. My first car was and still is a Honda Civic, Our second car is a Honda Accord, and I've felt a bond with the Honda brand ever since 16 year old me took that two door civic for a test drive.
I'm walking a delicate line of being in over my head and loving ever minute.
This forum has already provided me loads of information and I look forward to a future with this bike and community.
