Topic: CB750A Parking Brake Operation

Recently purchased a 1978 CB750A and do not know how the parking brake operates.
Can anyone outline the operating procedure for me?

as this was a 'learner' bike, they figured a parking brake to stop it creeping at lights (really)  or leaving it parked i guess on a steep hill with no kerb to rest the rear wheel on

Ive covered 5000 miles on my cb50a, and never needed it once.

if you've ridden other bikes you'll be fine.

(copied this..To use the parking brake, apply the rear pedal while pulling out on the knob on the left side. To release, depress the button and push in the knob and push down on the pedal to release the brake.)

don't worry about using it unless you live on a steep hill  it ain't going anywhere been riding one for 6 years  and mine never rolled away

Living in Wales, I'm always parking on hills, so mine gets plenty of use...
You can pull the knob to engage the ratchet, then press the pedal to apply the brake (I find it easier than doing both at once).
