Hi Guys,

Couldn't resist posting some pics of my new toy.

These I already bought a few years back, kept 2 and gave away the others to a friend of mine.

Homologation pic borrowed from Carsten W.Conrads excellent site.

I do have a few questions tough, I have an unmachined copy of the generator cover so I should be able to mount it on my bike.
Also which part number have I bought, there is a -970 and -971 but what's the difference?
However when I go through all the electrics (being a complete noob in this field) do I have to adjust some other parts as well?
The partslist makes mention of a few altered parts:

I could find some pics of the switch assy, but the other parts and how they should be connected keep me wondered

So in short, can I use my standard ignition coils or do I have to switch them for others and if so for which type?
My engine setup is a fairly standard K7, do I have to switch sparkplugs?
Does anybody out there have the other parts I'm lacking for sale or could I borrow them in order to make a study of them and copy them if possible?

It was quite a long shot, it was "mis-advertised" in my neighboring country and really hoped it wasn't a hoax.
Bought some CBY350 cable's, a clip-on and an NOS CR750 clutch-cable, CR750 throttle-cable, a used CR750 piston A and B as well as some other small parts.

Man, I am SO jealous! Nice CR parts right there.

Honda wired the stator directly to each coil and the switch is on the ground side.
The stator/rotor has to be "timed" to deliver the coil power at the correct time.
Of course the fixed advancer has to be timed to fire at the right time. 35 degrees BTDC if I recall correctly.

Sure would like to have one of those NOS advancers in my hands to make a perfect replica. Anybody have one for sale?

I got mine through Simon Tappin, but Carsten also makes them if I'm not mistaken.
It sounds like quite an ordeal to make this work on my bike, will have to figure out the best way of machining the cover without having to redo it.
Just took a look at my cover, and this seems to be made for 3 mounting points, instead of the 4 I've got on my generator perhaps this explains the -970 and -971 codes.
