Hey Guys....quick update: I am out of "Machine shop jail"!
Guess it's been about a month, but the machinist called me last week and said my parts are ready! So, I had the cylinders honed, valves and seats ground and new guides installed. He also ordered rings for me.
I had everything bead blasted, parts look great!
Jugs honed...

rebuilt head...

I then taped em up and painted em....

And now ready for install...

I now realize I was a little bummed out that this bike needed to be torn down and given the valve job. I've revived quite a few CB's and I guess just expected this to be easily brought back to like [unlike the K7 that had a broken cam!].
During the time the parts were at the machine shop, I didnt want to work on any bikes, just wanted to ride. However, I did work on the boat, got it all cleaned up and installed a new Kenwood head unit and wired remote [old system just died over the winter].
With hot summer temps here, I prefer to be on the boat anyway, except for a couple "Happy Hour" rides thrown in.
Got a four day Holiday weekend coming up and have family coming to visit. Our plan is Beer, Boating & BBQ, so doubt any motor rebuilding will be happening this week. No need to rush it...
