Maybe take a peek down a spark plug hole with a bright light and see if a dome appears. Is it still running points or upgraded ignition.

Also, you could use rear foot peg rubber for the rearsets. Aftermarket sportbike pegs will also work depending on mounts.

whoa...is this the first Steve-O project thread?  subscribed

Guess you dont remember "Yes, I got a Z1!"

oops, how could I forget?   ...perhaps I was just thinkin' that you kinda crank out a lot of bikes and they just appear out of nowhere and are  out on the road...and that is fine by me.

Raask was available new in fairly recent times (up til maybe 4 years ago?) from Mike's XS, listing bolt on kits for as many or more old bikes as Tarozzi.  Seems like they went out of business or have otherwise disappeared...or maybe they are still available somewhere?  They were cheaper than Tarrozi's, but many felt you got what you payed for.

Quick google search revealed one set on Ebay for BMW.   And that they still have a website listing no U.S. retailers but will ship direct.

If it works good, it looks good...

Yeah, I've "cranked out" a few bikes, I like getting back out on the road after years of sitting.

Thanks for the Raask link, I'll email em about parts.

Raask rearsets, heard of the name, what do you know about them?  Thinking Nils should "vaporize" these for me. Or polish?? Will need rubbers too.

Glass bead then flat clear powder coat.

Came with points.  Believe I have a Dyna on the shelf and may install.

So I have my first issue with the bike. Some Einstein decided to install a frame kit. Well, you might be thinking that 's a nice feature, right?
Or maybe they did pull that top end off and install 836's?!!

Not so fast, this "frame kit" consists of two pieces of pipe and four bolts!

K3 7

Frame in the truck, dropped it off at my powder guy today. Should be back within a week....

Wonder why they changed the brake to the right side?

I do not plan to use that front end, I have another "on the shelf".

If you decide to go a little further on the front end I have a complete Ducati setup in the shed.  ;)
