Kev,

Was just thinking (I know, a rare occurrence - LOL).
Maybe Craig Vetter could ID the fairing????
If you emailed him, maybe he would know and be able to tell you.
His web site is www.craigvetter.com
Maybe worth a shot.

Charlie
PS:  And Yes, it was a James Bond fairing.  LOL

This is the same fairing.  Its funny years ago when I first saw the bike my friend(the owner) made the comment "it has a james bond fairing on it they are very rare"

Some sources name that as an Avon Avonaire.

CycleRanger,

Certainly looks right!

Found this little blurb
"Avon was a brand name used by Mitchenall Bros. Mouldings. Avon bodywork was used by the Rickman Bros. for their roadrace and motocross kits as well as through a variety of other stockists. Avon fairings were also available as factory options through Triumph and BSA dealers."
on this web site - http://www.stephenbottcher.net/fairing/
and looking at the avon page - http://www.stephenbottcher.net/fairing/Avon/index.html  looks like a "police" type?????

Also found this little bit of history on the Avonaire - http://aatherton05.home.insightbb.com/Fairing/Avonaire.html
Interesting.

Well I took the sandcast for its first ride tonight.  Around 15 miles.  It runs awesome and pulls like a freight train in 5th.  I didn't want to take it up too fast with the old tires on it still but it performed perfectly even the clutch felt great.  I was truly impressed with the fairing i figured it would make the front end feel heavy but it didn't.  Very tight feel to the bike motor and suspension.  I can tell this bike will get lots of use...

IMO nothing makes these sohc4 bike's stand taller than having a set of HM300 or 341's on them. Your SC is no exception Kev 8)
