I don't know if there are any Fort Mac residents on here... but hope you got out safe.

I have a few friends out there and all was evacuated safely. Not sure about their homes, though.

 I was just watching some coverage..pretty terrible situation
 They lost over 500 homes yesterday and probably a lot more since...and its not over yet.
I hope everyone at least gets out..

Yeah the poor buggers, what the hell would you do, would insurance cover your house if it was a forest fire or would the insurance companies say oh no that was an act of god sorry look at your policy.

I've had my house burn and you would be surprised at what you lose stuff that means things to you but not an insurance policy/company.

I'm not in Fort McMurray but I am in Calgary and our Emergency Ops Center is active and I may end up putting some crazy shifts while this stuff is happening. I'm currently at this point on standby.
