K2 Starter Button Hack
« on: May 04, 2016, 01:53:42 PM »
These momentary pushbutton switches bolt in N/P. Can't confirm durability but ten for $5. it's worth a shot. Bolt in, nothing to drill or grind.

Not mine, nothing to me...just passing some info along.

Unless you have a relay hooked up with this it probably is not a good idea. It only has a rating amperage of 0.5A .

If you wanted to use something like this, it's easiest to re-configure the solenoid to seek a ground from the momentary, and run switched power to the solenoid. Then, you have 0 amps running thru the button. (Since you're hacking the STARt button anyway...)

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis
