Topic: Tubes and bands

[1974 Honda 550k]

I plan on purchasing a pair of Avon 712s for my 74 550 four, do I have to replace the tubes and bands? Or what do I need to look for to replace them.

I always replace tubes as most of the tires I pull off are so old, I assume the tubes are too. Bands are cheap, so them too. Occasionally, the older bands are so nicely made and fitted, I will just leave them alone........

+1.  And I dont buy the cheapest tubes...

 I've installed a couple of the heavy wall tubes. It seems they would be harder to pinch but wonder if they're worth the extra weight.
