Iceburgs
« on: November 19, 2006, 04:57:37 PM »
Recently an iceburg broke off from Baffin Island, rounded NewFoundland,
went up the St. Lawrance River, and squeezed past the land brigde into
Lake Champlain, NY/Vermont.

My question: is this a result of Global Warming or an attack by communist?
peace,
michel

We have a gaggle? of 'bergs running up the East coast of New Zealand at the moment. Big mofars. Global warming, NO. Although all the C02 we have been pumping out over the last 100 year isn't helping, in my opinion it is just a natural cycle.

Did you know that every time they launch a shuttle it pours 20,000 tons of chlorine and other #$%* into the atmosphere. I read that somewhere.

Hey, I'm still in college and am currently in a senior seminar (environmental activism) for my political science major and have to say that global warming is happening ... but its hard to say if its part of a natural cycle or something we humans have initiated with our pollution.  One thing is for sure, we aren't helping the environment with what we are doing.

I didn't know that global warming causes icebergs to travel upstream.  Was that the part of Al Gore's movie that I slept through?  I vote for commie plot.  The iceberg is actually a powered landing craft with cryogenically frozen troops inside.  To each his own paranoia, I say.

I think it's a terrorist plot to bring clean water into New York State and upset our ecosystem
Has it been taxed yet?

Ha, ha, ha.  Don't you suppose it's covered by some blanket tax that covers all the things we haven't thought of to tax yet? ;)  And come to think of it, wouldn't we be able to catch more terrorists if we taxed them?  Forget the NSA, we could sic the IRS on 'em.

Just seen a iceberg floating up the river Mersey, it was round like a ball but I couldn't see what shape it was under the water.
Anyhow, the top of it was ball shaped and it was green, sorta like a LETTUCE. ::)
