Cyclex super flow valves -- still issues?
« on: June 24, 2016, 05:29:23 PM »
I'm hoping to order a set of these this weekend, but I remember reading a thread about some coating flaking off of them, particularly after a few hundred miles or after lapping them in.

Is this still a problem? How have people got on whe them after a few years of running them? If I take them to an engine shop, do I need to give them special instructions not to lap them, or are they just like other valves?

I used hundreds with no problems. And there wasn't a problem to begin with.

I put them in the cyl head of my F2 a few years ago along with new guides, I can't confirm or deny whether any coating has flaked off because I haven't had it apart since then to find out and the reason I haven't had it apart is because it still runs great so I haven't had a reason to take it apart in the first place.
