Thanks to all you fellas, and a Lil' fire at 3AM, that stubborn little pin is out along with the kickstart assembly!!!! I appreciate all the help from you guys.... I chewed up the pin just a tiny bit but it's only on the end that is sticking out already so I think it's okay.... Some photos, a few last things to clarify/go over with Mr. Nils and we'll be rockin and Rollin'.

Thanks again guys couldn't do this with out you, most definitely would have broken a bunch of S*#* by now.... Hope you're all doing well.

Hey Don, Thanks buddy. Got some first class members helping out on the forum too. Couldn't do it without ya'll fellas. So all my goodies from Cognito were ready at the beginning of this week but by accident Devin had Anodized my Hub Black, I wanted it clear to match the clear anodizing of my triples so rather than try to have them remove the black and re-anodize it, he cut me a new one, which was super cool of him.

Here's what Will be coming from Devin at Cognito once it's all done.
 - Top and Bottom Cognito triples - 50mm offset with the steering stops
 - Cognito Stem
 - Excel - non-dimpled aluminum Rim - 18" x 2.5"
 - Custom Stainless SPokes
 - Laced to Cognito Moto - GSXR Hub
 - Black Stainless Braided Brake Lines
 - All bearings and spacers
 - GSXR Clutch perch
 - New Honda Switches

Going to get all put together with those Forks/calipers and those sweet galfer wave stainless rotors. Got a hole drilled and tapped to mount up that Koso Speedo/tach combo. Brand new set of Biltwell REnegade grips for the Woodcraft clip-ons.... ....Going to be awesome!!!!   Will update with Photos

Hey SKTP, yeah I had a bit of a rough time with that pin but it did finally decide to come out with some heat from a little propane pencil torch... Let me know if you are going to try another one and I can tell you exactly how I did it.... Got some great recommendations/advice from some other members and it work well.

DON, here's the rim, I honestly am not sure if this is considered "shouldered" or non-shouldered... Can you tell from the photo?

That is a meaty rim for some meaty rubber.  It is a non-shouldered rim.

Thanks for clarifying guys. Is the rim that I chose bad? I wan't sure if "drag" thing was not good...That is not my actual rim, but mine is the same thing , just a little thinner. Hopefully i didn't make a bad choice in getting that rim... Let me know what you guys think. Really the only reason I went with the non-dimpled one was because I liked the way it looked. When I have some more money i'll get a match for the rear, for now the stock DID rear will have to do....

Going to try and talk to Nils today and square away some last minute things, then a final cleaning of the side covers (some are kind of nasty) and box them up.

What I meant is it looks as wide as a dragbike  Make sure you get the correct width for the tires you're going to run and hope it will fit the fenders.You can go one or two sizes wider front and rear proportionally.

I believe i can run up to a 120 on that size if wanted, I may run a 110 though.....I'll have to see..

Thank you for your help and your advice, Super excited for this stuff to come in. Bike is definitely going to be unique....I'll keep the updates coming, getting that Roll pin for the kickstarter shaft out was a huge hurdle to get over.

The motor is going to be super quick and with this front end and new shocks for the rear , should handle and stop like a dream.....Really do appreciate all the help from you guys.

Haha, yeah that rim in the photo is a monster, I think 4.5" .... would be like a steamroller. Sorry don't have a photo of my actual rim yet but will post some up as soon as my stuff arrives.

Quick question for you guys, I'm familiar with the internals and re-building the round top carbs...But do any of you know if there are any other differences other than the jetting on these? I know the early ones had cables instead of the linkage...

Basically I have a very nice set of 657b's that i did. and I also just completely tore down a set of 7A's that I was going to send off to Nils along with my cases to be vapor blasted....Wasn't sure if one is better than the other (657b or 7A ?) Pretty much everything looks the same to me...I'm definitely no expert though. Thanks Guys.

IINM 657B's are the ones after the EPA got their way. Can't say either way which ones are better or worse, but I went with 7As on both of mine.

Thank god that wasn't the actual size rear rim!! No problem running non-shouldered or non-dimpled.

Oh alright makes sense about the carbs, Both are in great shape and since I've already completely torn down and re-built the 657B's , I'll get the 7A's sent off with the cases to Mr. Nils. They pretty much look identical so I wasn't sure.

Yeah that rim in the photo is massive, ha-ha. Going to be a pretty sweet setup in the front, maybe over the winter or something I'll get the matching one for the rear. Thanks for all the help guys.... I will keep posting updates on the progress and any new parts that come in. Really excited to get the motor build going....

Last thing I need to figure out if I'm going to do on the motor is get a couple of the gears under-cut....Mike recommended 2nd, 3rd. and 4th so I'll start looking into shops that do that, I know cycle x does it so i'll probably go with them but Jerry mentioned a shop that did his and he said with the new clutch plates his transmission is butter smooth.....

Any recommendations are welcome for any other recommended work in the lower half of the motor. Based On Honduran's book I may drill a couple oiling holes in the clutch basket.... Thanks Guys, take it easy.

Hey Don, Thanks for the help on that....That clamp looks perfect, will bring it to get powder coated or something and get it looking nice. I'll measure up the travel once the front end is mach'd up so I can make sure I get the correct length damper.

Will have some good updates/photos for you guys soon, got some special goodies coming my way....!!!

Christmas came early this year, nice big box from Devin at Cognito Moto came the other day . I'll post up some more photos but heck out this freakin wheel, thing is a work of Art.... Excel aluminum non-dimpled rim, 2.5 X 18", stainless custom spokes and nipples mounted up to one of their GSXR conversion hubs (which is an amazing piece in itself).....

I lightly mounted up the galfer wave rotors , couldn't help myself... I'll put up some photos of the triple trees and stuff soon.

Alright guys, It's been a while since my last update.... Man time is a flyin' . Since i've been making some slow progress, The GSXR Front is complete, will put up some photos of it all mocked up. I think I put Devin's (from Cognito moto) kid through his first year of college this year but hey I am building my dream CB.

Since my last post I've decided I'm running all new wiring front to back, New headlight, Motogadget switches, signals, M-unit V.2 (what an amazing little vodoo box), and a LED brake light. Now that it's starting to get cold out I'm really going to get rolling on this project so it will be all ready for Springtime.

As far as motor, Bearing shells (rods & Crank) just arrived this past week and i'm working will Nils to get all my darn parts out there for Vapor blasting ( the delay is 100% my fault), he's a great guy. Will keep this going with updates and will really start cranking on it once I get my butt in gear and send the parts to Nils.

I think you'll be amazed with Nils' handiwork.  I saw it in person at the IMS Long Beach and got to meet Nils, too.  The blasting makes the parts look brand new.
