Hi all. I'm Tom and I have just bought a 1977 400 four  in red. The beast has sat in a French garage for years but has been well owned. It is on French plates and has previously been on British ones.
It runs rich, Occasionally, it suddenly loses power but has had coils, points and condensers. The kickstart shaft and knuckle are in need of replacement and somebody painted the engine black.
The original spoked wheels are in poor condition and it has a Motad system on it.
It has all the period finned covers  and looks fairly tidy. One plus is a pair of CMA alloy wheels so, as it will never be concours, it looks like I might make a period cafe racer of it. First job is to check the jets are standard, then strip and clean the carbs.
