So excited.  Today I fixed my car horn.  The clock spring was broken and would not toot.  Replace the clock spring air bag light goes off so I know the clock spring is good, but still no honk!!

I am getting mad at this point until I remembered all my SOHC4 training and began troubleshooting.

It is a simple circuit really.  Horn, relay, clock spring, and a ground connector.

Well the problem was that the new clockspring has a different ground pin.  The old ground was all the way to the right.

The new one was all the way to the left.  Took the plug apart and moved the pin.

I am so thankful for all the skills that I have learned on this forum.

I know right!  I might have to put some on the car somewhere just to  certify the repair as "redneck legit".

Spent the last 3 days battling drum brakes.  Never had to do those before.  Darn wheel cylinder kept popping out of place.  Went to the parts store got a 2nd set of shoes and that seems to have fixed it for the moment.  The first set was not correct.  So frustrating.

Calipers are much easier to deal with.
