introduction
« on: July 23, 2016, 06:37:47 PM »
Hi. New to forum. Just purchased a 1975 cb750F this summer and looking forward to getting it on the road. Used to own a orange 1973 cb750K in the late 70s early 80s. The 75F is rough but I think salvageable. May need help if I run into problems. My background is in automotive repair so not completely lost.

Welcome to the forum!  I have an 75 750F0 myself. Is yours a F1 or a F0? I also have a really clean stock exhaust for it if you need one in the parts for sell section.

I believe it to be a 1975 F0. I think mostly stock including exhaust.Still learning. Have a really bad fuel tank that I patched up just to see if it was road worthy.Have another tank being shipped from Edmonton Aberta thanks to my son, Jeremy and Killer Canary, who sold me the tank. This cb750 was found in a garage formaly owned by an extreme hoarder and has been sitting for something more than 17 years with dryed up fuel in it. Set points, adjusted valves, changed oil, fixed wiring going to one coil, replaced kill/starter switch, melted fuse panel and battery. Carbs were a disaster so cleaned them the best i could to see if it would run. It started right up. Comp. good at 160, 160, 150, 160. Short road test to check clutch and trans. operation and seems ok. Idle circuit not working right , won't idle under 1400 rpm. Now i can order some carb parts to do carbs properly. ie needle and seats etc. Any recommendations would be gratefully accepted. Thank you.
