CB 550 seat compatability question

i have a 1976 cb550k,and would like to know if any other models have the same seat pan with all mounting points in the same position

i did do some searching and i didnt come up with much.the only thing i learned is that the seat pan for the 77-78 cb550 are different so they wont work.

'75 & '76 were pretty much the same bike, and much is interchangable.  But the K & F's were different.  You can always check the parts fiche & compare the part numbers for whatever year you're interested in.

Ok, I checked:

'75 (K1): 77200-374-003
'76 (K2): 77200-374-003

They're the same.

Don't forget the '74 CB550K; it also has the same seat part number ( 77200-374-003 ).
 
The '71-73 CB500Four is virtually identical, although it uses a different style latching mechanism.  No doubt it could be made to work by swapping a CB550 latch piece onto the pan.
