Pre-77 rocker cover on a '78 CB550
« on: August 17, 2016, 11:02:56 AM »
Salvage yard sent the wrong cover for a '78. Everything is in good shape with no slop. What's the chance of this being a problem going on a bike the customer only uses for casual riding. No long distance or "spirited" stuff?

Wow. That's a great idea! That actually works? I'll have to do that to my 77 which also has an early rocker box.

Early rocker covers were pre-76 according to my Owner's manual addendum, so no problem with what you all have.
