I'm going to reinstalling my engine soon and I'm just confused on installing the crankcase bearings. The manual says that the top of the bearing should extend above the flange. Do they mean the upper halve of the case bearing should extend and does it matter which side extends? for instance the smooth side of the shell or the side with the indent?
