Topic: New kid in town

After 3 happy years at work in Nimes, the time came to start a new contract, this one full time as head "informaticien". Lovely new lycée, modern, best of technology, enormous - more than 1200 students. A really good position. In fact unless I bugger the dean (or possibly unless I don't) this is my last job 

As the educational system here is a big club, I arrived with a "reputation". A very good one I hasten to add  dear readers. But isn't it great to be the new kid in town once in a while ? Everyone is eager to help, the women are more than just curious . .  a lovely honeymoon period.

Till I inevitably fcuk it up again. But as I get older, the "book of excuses" gets larger.

As a typical "single-language" American, I had to google some of those words.  From what I gather you're the new main IT guy at a new, major high school?  Or possibly the head of the department of computer science?  I can't tell which.  Regardless, congratulations on your new gig and may it last longer than you do!

Hey Kev good for you and yes you will have to maintain a slightly mysterious demeanor something perhaps slightly bad or dangerous to keep the femmes interest up, and use the honeymoon to find out who the ( to borrow a bit of slang ) oxygen thieves are and hopefully the re numeration will allow a few more minor pleasures to be experienced. If I was close I'd split a couple/few Ales with you to celebrate. Well done. Remember the fiddle is the thing
