I agree that you guys did an amazing job of a finished product in such little time.  It was interesting how they would criticize the welds or lack thereof and then go flog the bikes so hard.  Do the have a " crash-test dummy" to check it out or were your rides sufficient?  I found that polar opposite of the complaints.  Sure the extra welds were probably recommended and good practice but they had no problem swinging a leg over without hesistation from what was shown on camera. It had to be safe enough for short term or they wouldn't risk it.  They must have had a pass with the law to have unlicensed, uninsured, unregistered bikes running about.
Interesting show and regarding earlier comment on Indian build, that was really unfair to those teams but they stepped up, one team playing it safe and the other doing real fab work and transforming the bike within the limitations of time and resources.

It was funny when Rodcycles head was standing there straddling the rear frame tubes & sighting the new rear frame mods and his teammate snickers.  I think I understood what he was snickering or snorting about.

Promotion...Yoshi wanted some airtime? Advertising...

I was thinking that Yoshi might want a little exposure.  He doesn't let rare parts go cheaply.

RAF122S - Thanks! There were a few items that they criticized for us. But they were items that were "longterm" benefits. Like gussets in certain places but short term was OK without them.  Nothing on our bike was "sketchy" other than using vintage parts and having built it in 3 days. The bike is solid and rides extremely well. The geometry on the front end and my alignment of everything lead to a bike that rode EXTREMELY well for a hardtail, vintage girder bike. The only things that I will be changing on our bike is to machine new bushings for the girder links, a gusset in the girder legs and make the running light gear Florida legal. Tag it and ride it.

CB750 Cafe Racer Fan / USMC5811 - Yoshi did NOT let those parts go easily at those prices. There was a LOT of negotiations and time off camera.

As I sit and watch this week's episode I think, "maybe there needs to be a 'Wrench' thread?"
I could sit and discuss these shows for about 72 hrs...
