trailer idea
« on: November 29, 2006, 08:49:54 PM »
I was talking to a friend of mine earlier today, and I mentioned that I really could use a mc trailer, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money (I'd rather spend it on the bikes!).

He said that he has a trailer for a catamaran, and he no longer has the catamaran. We are thinking of modifying this trailer to use for hauling one or more bikes. These sort of trailers are really lightweight and they ride so low that I think I can adapt a hinged ramp for it.

If I pull this off I will take pics and post them on here.

I have a 5x8 utility trailer that I got at lowes.  I put a wood floor on it and have used to haul my bike and its readily available if I need to haul anything.  Has 12" wheels and cruises the highway just fine.  Much cheaper than a motorcycle specific trailer.
