Hi All:

My name is Mike and I live about 15 miles outside of Boston in Burlington, MA. This 1978 CB750F came along in a package with my wife's VStar 1100 (both for for $3500), and I really like it. I graduated in '78, so that year is kind of special to me so I think I'm going to hang on to it. Bought it off the original owner, 19K, with original title. I also have a 97 Harley Ultra Classic, but the Hondas have always been my first love.

Cleaned the carbs, got the brakes unstuck, put it some fresh gas, and took it out for a few miles . Surprisingly fast! It's going to need a few things, like rebuilding the calipers, may need to go through the carbs one more time as it runs good on choke but need a minute or two to idle on it's own. Have the mixture screws out 1.75 turns. Has a badly cracked Conti Blitz 3.25X19H on the front, rear looks very good.

I'll need to find good brake rebuild kits, pads, and a compatible front tire (looks like they don't make the Conti Blitz any more). Curious as to what oil people are using, and where they're getting their parts. Riding season's coming to an end here, so I'll have a few months to play with it. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, and look forward to being a part of this community.

Mike
