Oil Passage Cap - Part # 15331-300-000
« on: November 15, 2016, 10:23:16 AM »
Are there any torque specs for these?
Should a little blue loctite be used?

Thanks

Much like the tappet covers, the O-ring does the actual sealing and will resist loosening. Torque spec - I dunno - but once the flange meets the engine case and it's reasonably tightened it won't come off. Like those tappet covers, over-torqueing will probably just break it.

+1 Just snug and no thread locker needed.

Agreed. This is a VERY soft cap. I was removing one from a spare engine last week, must have been over tightened by the PO, and it basically just melted in my wrench like it was soft chocolate or something. No need to reef on this thing.

I think it is the same size thread as tappet cover, M20x1.5.
