Wow.  I just went through this entire thread while sitting here in a hotel room in Tokyo waiting on my family to get ready to go out to dinner.  This build is off the charts!  Incredible work and attention to detail.

Love your bike, man.  Looking forward to hearing it run and seeing the final product.  Great job!

Headlight is mounted.  Keep in mind this is only to keep me legal and get me home if the sun goes down.  Also thisight has 2000 lumens so it's very bright.  Also has a dimmer switch.

Ok, I am going out on a limb but its only because I think its a mistake. I am a huge fan of everything on this bike, up to your headlight choice and placement. It looks out of place and detracts from the front end which is very nice and clean. Why not go with an LED that is integrated into the number plate? To me, the current placement gives off an "Oh sh*t, I forgot to add this and now Im doing it just to get by" vibe, which NOTHING else on this bike gives off. Food for thought.
All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.

Appreciate the feedback.  Initially I was going to mount the light on the lower triple and have it come through the number plate.  The more I looked at it, I couldn't bring myself to do.  For two reason, 1 it really threw off the number plate graphics I'm doing, and just didn't flow to the side profile when i had it up there.

I'm happy with the placement of the light as it's crazy easy to pull the light for track use.  1 6mm allen and a quick disconnect.  Also If I change my mind down the road, it will be easy to go back to the original plan.

I'm think'n the up&down of the fork sliders are going to beat the "daylights" out of that light...?
Have you tried mounting to the left side of the lower triple?

 Just spitball'n here.    :-\

I'm jumping in with negative feedback on the headlight bandwagon.

Placement is poor, component choice is a "projector" not true headlight, and casts too direct a pool with no lateral wash. Can't imagine incoming traffic appreciating it either. It would NOT be legal in my state.

Should be good.  Clearwater lights are mainly for the adv bikes and they are either mounted on the crashbars or fork lowers.  I tried next to the number plate, but it hung out too far.  At some point, i have been brainstorming, glassing a number plate that will hug the forks and follow the contours of the speedo, and clipons and have the light glassed into it.  Until then, I'll probably give this route a go.

I've run this still placement on my trackbikes.  It works to get me home if the sun goes down while i'm out riding and if the light is aimed correctly won't blind cars.  Also with the dimmer i can turn it to a low beam.

I know it's not idea but this is a bike that won't see much night use.  It's more "to have a light" and can get me home when needed.  The bigger focus is having a small light with as much output, can adjust the output, and quickly remove it for a trackday.  This achieves that.

I'm also thinking the current placement would prevent much of any light to get to the right of the road, casting a big shadow on that side?

I think the last thing on earth I'd want under my ass is an Antigravity battery. I've seen many fires start because of those. Just a heads up.

I've run about eight of them with no problems.  Everyone ive heard of was caused by over charging it.  With the Rick's R/R I'm good there.
