Sensemillia...now there is a word not seen much by me the last few decades..
 Remember Thai Sticks ..?

I've had one of those.  Made a few of my own since a guy gave me a sample of his alcohol distilled full plant extract.

Thai sticks were tiny buds tied to a stick, soaked in opium; you didn't make your own Bomber, unless you had access to opium poppies.
While we're on the subject, the Coast Guard intercepted a shipment of 'stick off the central coast of CA back in the '70's, but not before the smugglers had jettisoned several bails into the ocean. When some 'stick hit the street some months later, it was assumed to be from those jettisoned bails. When the case finally went to court, it turned out the evidence was missing from the San Luis Obispo county sheriff's evidence locker, and the case was dismissed. Several cops lost their jobs due to that...

You could always dip them in paregoric (camphorated opium tincture) but the camphor made the smoke tough.

The washington legal market must have stolen the name 'thai stick' then.  They certainly did not contain opium.  Good thing too, even a little bit of opium (percocet) left me seriously dehydrated.  The term "sh!t a brick" sums that experience up.

Artisan Thai sticks need no fiddling with. It was a currency back then. Buy local!
