Yep mine with stock pipes had very amazing amount of low end grunt but still revved it's ass off out the backdoor.   Really wide useable powerband
If it works good, it looks good...

Congrats on the ride. I've not owned one but have had a 500 magna. They are fun bikes and they do run pretty well.

Sorry but I didn't read through all the posts but did you ever get the valve clearances adjusted? This and syncing the carbs will really bring it to life.

I've had almost all the other 1st generation V4s so if I can help please let me know.

 Yes, valves were adjusted. The carbs were bench synced but not vacuum synced. Seems to run pretty well, especially when I give her some revs!

 I sold the Interceptor and the Ascot last Spring. The garage was getting too full again.
 The Interceptor remained trouble free the entire time I had it.

 With the funds from the sale, I bought this:

That a new bike or a used Triumph Scrambler? Hard to believe they have had the model since '06. What year is yours? It is a nice looking bike, one you can explore the woods with near you.

 2014 with 3600 miles. Bitubo shocks, D&D mufflers, air injections removed and a tune.
 Came with the stock parts, too.

Scott, sounds like a fun bike and it is an attractive one. So, Dungeons & Dragons got into the exhaust business, who woulda thunk!  ;)

Sounds like a good trade up you made from the two bikes.
