nut and lock nut on top of carbs
« on: March 05, 2017, 03:34:26 PM »
there is a nut and lock nut on top of my carbs that decide the position of the carburetor slides.  can anyone share how these should be set?  is there a measurement or a reference?  should it be adjusted to how far the slide dives into the carb?  if so, how should it look?

See if this helps a little and do you have a repair manual ? http://www.hondachopper.com/garage/carb_info/bench_sync/bench_sync.html

May need to lower the idle adjuster screw. The single big knurled knob. That'll lower all slides simultaneously, then you can get on with the bench sync with the drill bit method or whichever way you're doing it.
