Not far from here, there's a 2 story barn and another building filled with old British bikes and he won't sell anything. And it's a bike business.

I knew I was crazy when I spent too much time trying to fit k8 clutch cable to goldwing!  Should have stuck with just one year/model so the parts would all interchange, but no I had to have a couple of these and one of those just cause they're cool.  Now I can't just disassemble it and stash the parts, I have to LABEL everything before stashing it...now that's just crazy!

Would be too easy to have just 1 model bike!
Good friend of mine recently snuck into Steve's backyard and sent me this secret spy picture   :o

I would be embarrassed to have that mess!

A friend said it's all the customer bikes that never got finished or the bill was more than the bike was worth so folks just walked away. I heard back in the day of guys bike repairs never getting finished, even after years. It's difficult to believe but a lot of them are apart with a box of pieces sitting in the seat or frame.

I've experienced inheriting bikes that owners left due to lack of interest, probably four or five in the past six years or so.  I part them out in order to recover my time and money. Usually undesirable bikes like 750 K7/8, CB650....Larry

I can remember when a lot of brit bikes had little value, I can see that happening. People were giving my brother 750's not too long ago. Just because he was interested in them. If he had a barn it would be full too.

Ok, its one thing when your wife does not know how many bikes you have, but wayyy worse when you don't even know how many bikes you have....."Hmmm, let me think (counting on fingers).  Ummm, eight?  No, nine.  Errr wait, ten.  Yep, 12 bikes"

Does the roller count as 1?  Not usually, but at your house that roller probably won't be just a roller for long.  Is any machine in any condition without an engine  just a roller?.... it's your next project.
There's a few crazy old bikers here for sure. Some call themselves collectors, others call them hoarders, and there are some who call it investing.  I'm not quite sure what the difference between these titles really are but, I'm supposing, it's the title taken for the explanation that his wife is most likely to believe when it comes down to why there is so many machines in the garage.
Would I find room for another Honda?   Is  "NO" just a friendly suggestion that my brain keeps sending me?  Do I really need another bike?.... If "Hell Yes." is your answer, you may just be a crazy motorcycle guy too.
