BEFORE COGNITOMOTO created turnkey solutions to graft modern front ends onto older CBs, you had to employ some machining skills especially if you wanted spoked wheels.  Cam aka RustyOlive did that and more.  Wanting to also fit a rear 180 tire required substantial modification/fabrication of the rear swingarm.  Cam had a few people tell him he couldn't do what he wanted, but used his grey matter and welder and said, "Watch me."  Olivia was hatched and then just recently re-hatched with a 650 engine upping her horsepower and torque.  Olivia is a garage-built, Canadian ingenuity-born rider made to rip around the streets of Toronto.  Yes, she's got some patina but she's the older woman who knows a thing or two.


























FGKouki's CB750K8 "Woodgrain Café Racer #2"

FGouki had already built his first Woody CB750K5 café bike before this CB750K8 build.  Probably expecting more of a gasket re-fresh, he did an entire top-end re-fresh (including replacing a few pesky leaking valve seals, honing the cylinders, cleaning the pistons/rings) and painted the motor frame -- making what is old new again.  He used a hydrodip process to create faux woodgrain on the bodywork and a looker.

Wow, what a great vote.  Neck and neck all the way down the line.  They traded places once or twice but the margin was never greater than 4-5 votes.  Most of the time it was tied or one vote off.

FGKouki built an impressive clean bike. Put up a good competition against my bucket of bolts. Lol

Olivia is like my disturbed child. Even though she gives me the most grey hairs.. gives me the most trouble. Up late at night trying to fix where I went wrong. Catch myself thinking about her at work, wondering how to perfect the mistakes or reminiscing about epic rides we have had.  Ain't perfect in every way.. she's still mine and I love her. I just can't turn my back even though at times I want to. She teaches me new things all the time, puts a smile on my face like no other can. She's my Olivia! Happy to share my troubled girl with ya'all. Thank you.

Congrats buddy!  I just got two '75 750 supersports so maybe I have another chance at BOTM with one of those bikes when I get 'em fixed up.
