What side does ththe swingarm bolt go through? 1975 CB750F
« on: March 31, 2017, 02:26:20 PM »
According to the fiche, I insert the bolt through the right side with the threads being hanging out the left.

But all my Cb750K bikes in the garage disagree.

What's correct?

I wouldnt think that would matter as long as its the correct bolt and it doesnt hit anything else like foot peg or shifter or something

This 1976 F1 had 4500 miles on it when I bought it,5000 now and has never been tampered with. It seems the major bolt heads are normally on the left side of the bike and nuts on the right on 750's.

Both of my 500's also have the bolt head on the left side and the nut on the right.

I would think on the early ones with  and endless chain, it would be easier to drop the swingarm if the nut were on chainside. Reason being, you could leave it hanging in frame hole on kicker side while working on the chain.. Not in the way.
