Found these at swap meet $4/qt. 

Are these worth it? Or did I just waste $8 out of my already thinned pocket

Maybe you can get Mike and what's his name from American Pickers to buy them from you for 40 bucks a can - they can then sell them at their shop for 120 bucks a can.

8 bucks ain't bad and who the heck sees oil in a can anymore?  Neat shop decoration.

Carefully open them, recycle the contents, reshape the can, and make a lamp out of them for your shop.

Or, put it in someone else's bike, preferably someone you don't like.

Or, if you have an English bike, you can pour it right underneath it, without putting it into the engine before....saves you some time

It's probably still in perfect condition, but better to put it in a car engine than one of our bikes, it'll probably make your clutch slip like a bitcch.........

Well I'd argue that the old product is probably way more effective than whatever you can buy new now, because it probably contains all of the chemicals that have been banned since that stuff was packed into cans. Use them, or put them on ebay.

Open from the bottom to preserve the empty can and recoup your money after you use the product. Score!

Sweet! My dad's garage is full of old oil and paint cans (he was a commercial artist and sign writer) probably going back 60 or 70 years, I don't know if we have the same interest in old cans here, if so I should cash 'em out!

How about old glass oil bottles? I inherited these from my late father-in-law:





I also inherited the drawers they're sitting on (we think his dad made them):





I had to grab them quickly after he died, as mother-in-law went into a "throwing out rubbish" frenzy!

Nice! I worked at a gas station in the 70's after school and on weekends and I reckon I dropped as many of those old glass oil bottles as I filled! My old boss still asks after me whenever he sees my mum, I think he wants me to pay him for all the ones I dropped!

  I worked at a station  after school etc. around 1975/1976 ish also and back then we pumped the gas,washed the windows and checked the oil. I was a Texaco man and our oil came in cans and we used those old cool push in metal spouts, no bottles around when I was workin'.
