Looks like you have a Kenny Harmon cam.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Try to determine what cam you have first. That points cover may have come from a different bike or that particular cam may not be in that bike. There is other info available online for KH cams. Cams are usually marked on the shaft or on the ends. Use the numbers that are for the cam you actually have. Downside is on most unmodified frames you either have to cut off the lower frame rails to remove the valve/cam cover or remove the engine. Frame rail kits are available to re-install the rails. Now, if it IS cammed it may also be bored out. Check your piston crowns if you have a bore scope camera.

345" 265° 105.5° Kenny Harman “D” grind. OK with stock pistons. 26 btc/59 abc .005"
billet .325" 280° 110° Use HD springs. Mid-range and some top-end. 70 bbc/30 atc .005"

No need to cut frame sections on a 550.

Would be sweet if you did have a bumpy cam!
You could remove the whole rockerbox and measure the lobes to compare with stock specs.

Better check to see what cam you have if you set the tappets to the stock recommendation, if indeed you have a KH they need a larger tolerance.

Not ready to pull the top cover yet, i am 99% sure it has a KH cam with the condition of what chrome is on the bike, regarding the ignition cover outside condition, to be on the safe side i will set the intakes to .005 matching the exhausts..if it does have a KH cam that could be the reason the primary chain is knackered lol.......how do i know, letting out the clutch at idle in gear putting load on gearbox..quiet

Got in contact with one of the past owners, he said the bike was raced before he got it, ..I re set the valve clearance, the ign timing was on T reset it to F 5 btdc..what a difference in the power..nice....now I know why the primary chain rattles
