Harness routing CB500K1
« on: June 25, 2017, 02:50:15 AM »
Folks, I know that many queries of this kind have been posted before, but none have specifically given an answer to the subject question.  :(  I've seen many posts, diagrams, photos etc. that have shown 350/400/550/750 harness routing, but nothing which has shown the factory routing for a CB500 be it K0, 1 or 2.
I'd really like to get the routing as close to original as possible, including where the loom clips are located.
CMSNL doesn't really show it to detail, and from my research, none of the shop manuals do either.
Anyone able to help please?

Himble - This is a 550, but, SohRon's entire build thread is perhaps the best example and most well documented 550 thread around. I would imagine there's great similarity between yours and his from a cabling perspective.

Blasphemy! I thought Ron had restored all the links  >:(

I'll check a few other threads and see if I can locate the correct routing.

Ron's restore is of a 74 cb550, so much of the routing and setup is very similiar to the late cb500s.

A PM to Ron might net more as he was gathering the info to make a book out of it at one point, or considering it.

Have you looked at the first page of Chapter 6 in the Honda CB550 Shop manual?
