I have long admired those particular mirrors, but have yet to feel the need to get a really good view of my elbows whilst motorcycling, which is what i get the impression (from various bar-end users, hearsay, and ignorant assumption) i would end up with.  What do you say, heffay, are these as useful as they are pretty.  or even half as much?

I have bar end's and can see just fine out back.  When I replaced them with stock mirrors (for all of a 1/2 a day) all I got was a nice view of my biceps.  Seeings as I continually forget to take my steroids in the morning, I went back to the bar ends and have been happy ever since.  Maybe it was the low-rise bars on at the time, maybe the stock mirrors wern't all that stock, probably some pilot error, but I couldn't adjust them to where I could see anything.  I like my bar end mirrors.

bar end mirrors actually better the rear viewing capabilities.  they are cool looking and very little vibration makes it to the mirror.  i'll post a pic when i'm not getting up early to go snowboarding  8)

What about the convex glass?  I always thought it sorta distorted things.
I'm just thinking about the things nearer mirrors for cars. I don't like them.

On my Goldwing I have a flat superbike style bar. with the stock mirrors I had a really good view of my shoulders and little else.

I now run one bar end on the left side and vision has improved dramatically to the rear.
