Hi to all,
Been riding Honda street bikes since I got my driver license in 1965, I own at this
time 4 in the stable.
I was a Honda dealer master mechanic ( the beginning of changing the title to technician)
in the 70's and 80's. A fellow co-worker and I campaigned my 550f for 2 years in 2,4 and 6
hour endurance racing, what cheap fun club racing all you needed was to be an AMA member
at that time.
Today after retiring from being an automotive tech I have been restoring Honda motorcycle
engines. Do all the work here in my garage.
At this time I'm reviving a 74 CB750. The first on the list is building the power plant. I have
2 engines in which to pull the best parts from. The valves have been in a tumbler for the last 4
days to remove the carbon and also threw in the rods to get a slight polishing.
So far the new parts on the shelf consist of:
JE Pistons-- 65.00mm 10.25:1
Web cam-- Grind 63a
H/D valve springs-- Dynoman
Adjustable cam sprocket-- Dynoman
I've lucked out also with a Dyna ignition for free
The engine is in pieces and I will continue in the Project thread area
Glad to be here hope you all are willing to share
Thanks--Preston
