" Race Fans, Hot Rodders, Sunday, Sunday "...A little off topic, but today just could be a milestone in motorcycle history. Today the Ackattack will be shooting for 400 MPH on a pristine salt flat in Bolivia !

Wishing them all the luck . We were at Bonneville in 07, they made a run at around 350 or 360 and wiped out about 10 seconds later. I remember the  craft being on a trailer at the casino parking lot,  all shrinkwrapped, ready for the trip home.

Update: Sadly the Ack Attack had technical issues. They made a 378 mph run. The other racers also ran some great numbers. Ralph Hudson went 284 mph. Nick Genet did 202...and Al Lamp`s 1000cc Honda went 266 mph

Neal, info on the 1,000cc Honda that ran 266mph would be nice.
I'm guessing this one will have been a modern motor but here in Britain, we had a CB750 SOHC based bike that ran over 200mph on a long straight road in Ireland. The riders name is Mel Nolan and he is a member here on sohc4.net
