I could never understand the "burnout" mentality, unless you're getting staged to burn the quarter mile, it all seems so childish.  Just about any bike can do a burnout.
I was kinda hoping for the chain to break and whip him in the a$$.

Same here.  I am just wondering how long that dude will live ridding essentially a motor down the road.

The only time it's ok to do a massive burnout is when you have an old tire out back that needs to be changed so you sacrifice it to the gods of white trash. Even then, it's a douche thing to do.

As long as that thing doesn't make it to a street I could care less how they waste their $$$ and time.

Not a big fan of non race burnouts. It takes me too long to come up with green and time to make something run, why would I beat on it? Maybe if I had money and rubber to burn I would feel different. Naw, I wouldn't.I hate the smell. Now if the tires on my classic car break loose in the course of a take off, that's different. Why, I don't know,to me it just is. lol Maybe it's the holding of the brake thing that ain't right I guess. Too cheesy. lol

I wasn't speaking of this specific bike but thinking of larger bikes in general. I realize i'm an old tightwad and ride my bike in a very conservative orderly fashion. haha

I swear I've seen some of these little feckers around on the street. Maybe not this exactly, but what look like regular motorcycles only smaller - and not pocket-bikes.

And they're stupid fast. Maybe 12" rims. Anyone know about these things? If only there were some sort of portal - an "engine" if you will - that would allow queries and searches . . . .

I have done waaaayyy to many burnouts to pretend, I don't do them. Not with this bike, but my 836 and my old stocker.
Won a burnout contest., the problem with these bikes is.. you can get to a point where you start wondering... why won't this thing break.. took about 25 years to finally wear out my 836..

G-dammit Frank. I'm missing my "like" button again. "why won't this thing break . . . "  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Never done a burnout, but, having been to the drag races, I get it I suppose.

There is a few good reasons I trust a CB750, from extensive experience..
And there is a good reason , many won't set out on the Road on a pretty good cb750.
They don't have that trust....as they have yet to experience it....but they still could.

This us why I will, set out at the 11th hour on an untested  or fresh bike, because I believe it will likely do the job.
As  some of you found out again, in August..

I too have much experience of the burnout and a highly satisfying thing to do it can be...however I have dropped off this activity of recent years, mostly cos I can't afford to throw tyres away that often, but also cos the last proper one I did cost me $3K for a changeover motor for the Vmax.  oops

redlined in all 5 gears so the back wheel was spinning somewhere in excess of 220kmh (140ish mph), all went well and I went home a happy boy on the train (way too drunk to ride - turned out I was too drunk to walk as well, collided with a lamp post and dislocated my left thumb and ripped a load of skin off my face), went back a couple of weeks later when my hand was sort of working again and tried to ride it home...no chance.

went back another week or two later and took the clutch out to see if that was the problem, unfortunately not, you can see through into the motor when the clutch is out of the way and there were several cogs with missing tooths lurking inside the depths....bollocks

eventually got the money together for a s/hand motor and started trying to fit it, the guy who was helping me claims it was working on a Yamaha that gave him a heart attack but I have my doubts

sorted eventually but what a cock around.

I now stick to doing burnouts whilst moving and on the freeway cos the Vmax will happily light up the back wheel at around 70mph and that's good enough for me
i blame Terry

The trick is to do it very quickly, or while moving If ts a longer one back the throttle off, less heat and wear. A lot of guys cook their motors getting it too hot.

I know what you are talking about.  They  have a gang of them in Syracuse.  They ride around like biker Boyz.   Funny stuff.  If I laughed  any harder I would need oxygen.

Its not supposed to be practical  its making a statement, and they are enjoying it.
Sportbikes, choppers, Goldwings around town are not practical  yet people ride them
Jewelry ain't practical either but people still wear the useless crap..

Things can be impractical to us, and yet be enjoyed by others..
