Who has experience with the Suzuki TL1000S?

No experience with an S.  My buddy had a TRL -- Suzuki's attempt to duplicate the RC51 formula for racing.

Have no personal experience but generally reputed to be a hell of a motor with some highly suspect handling traits

I have ridden the TL1000S and it has great engine(may need a power commander for better engine performance) ie: lean spots.  GSXR seating position, think 86 GIXXER. The owner did a 1000 mile day on it ONCE!
I recall the it handled very well.

I had a 05 SV1000S, with a similar engine, lost maybe 10 to 15 HP from the TL.  I had a Power Commander with Yoshi cans that made a great sounds.  Better seating than the TL.  I put the lowers on the SV, and to me, a better looking bike than the TL.  Personal opinion, the TL is kinda ugly.  The SV was easy to ride fast.

Shocks for the TL may be hard to find.

The motorcycle gods save me from the choice as it disappeared from Craigslist Sunday. Missed out on a complete titled (and supposedly undamaged) V65 Sabre for $200(!).
